The Nursery
I handle all of our babies everyday, from the day they are born. I will only ever breed 1-3 litters at a time, to ensure that all babies are well socialized. I won't always have babies available, but adopters are welcome to fill out an adoption form and I will add your name to the wait list.
Babies can be adopted together from different litters, they all play together while here at the rattery.
Babies are weaned between 5-6 weeks of age, but no earlier than 5 weeks, so that their mother's milk can give them the extra nutrition and immunity they need for as long as possible. In the event of any mothers abandoning their babies, or death, I may have to rotate the babies with another lactating female who will foster the other babies and this will ensure that everyone will get nursed.
Also I will NEVER, cull any of my litters no matter how many babies there are. Every rat deserves a chance at life, and every rat in my care will get the best life that i can offer.
Further more, I know that snakes have to eat, and they need feeder rats for that, But don't even think of asking me, I will NEVER EVER breed to feed snakes or sell them to those that will breed for that purpose. I put in ALOT of work to properly socialize the babies. There is a reason there are pet stores. I am NOT a pet store.
Here at Rat Crew Rattery, I strongly believe that any animal, should be treated as part of the family. Therefore, all my rats are treated as my children. They get respect, stimulation, exercise, playtime, regular checkups, and LOTS and LOTS of Loving :)
Our Rattery has first choice of each litter, based upon our needs for our breeding goals.
At approximately 3 weeks of age, it will be decided which babies will stay here, and which will be available for adoption.
If you wish to get on a waiting list for a particular baby, or color, please contact us.
Rat babies are usually ready to leave the rattery for their new homes at approximately 6-8 weeks of age.

The litters listed under this section are the litters that I currently have and will be up for adoption as soon as they are weaned and I have decided who I am keeping.
To view the litters' page click the names of the parents.
I reserve the right to change reservation should a baby be dwarf.
(I will e-mail anyone should their choice be dwarf as I am keeping all dwarf at the moment)

Planned Litters
These breeding's are categorized on what month I am pairing them.
Pairings are not set in stone, nature just sometimes sticks her nose in, and things happen, like the mothers may reabsorb their litters, or one of the pairs might get sick.
Also we wont always get what we plan for or expect. For example when pairing 2 black self's together you would expect lots of black self's but then when the babies show their color depending on the background of the rats you might get all black or as little as 1 or 2 black, and then have other colors such as blue, mink, with an array of color points or markings.
